With a terse, powerful sound and soulful manner, it seemed that Bert Robinson was going to become a force to be reckoned with in urban contemporary circles. His debut LP, No More Cold Nights, included the stunning single "Heart of Gold," which reached number five on the R&B chart. Robinson had previously done a duet with Peggie Blu, "All the Way With You." But after a 1989 follow-up, he dropped off the scene.
